Notes from the Loire harvest

Every September I take a week off the bar and pick grapes for two growers we have poured since the start. It rained four days out of seven, and it was one of the best weeks of the year.

Both farm without chemicals and work the vines by hand. The cellar smells of apples and wet stone, and the pét-nat is still fizzing in the tank.

Coming to Copenhagen

They are bringing the new wines to our harvest dinner on 8 October, still cloudy in the bottle. Come and taste them next to Freja’s cooking, and ask them anything.
